Savory Dash
A food delivery platform built around real-time tracking and sub-200ms dispatch decisions.

The Challenge
The client's incumbent platform crashed every Friday night. Dispatch took 4–6 seconds during peak, drivers cancelled out, and customers saw stale ETAs that bore no relation to reality.
Our Approach
- 1
Rewrote the dispatch service in Go with a Redis-backed driver index — sub-200ms decisions at peak.
- 2
Streamed driver location to customers over WebSockets, so ETAs reflect reality rather than a stale snapshot.
- 3
Rebuilt the driver app from scratch with offline-first order acceptance and a clearer earnings dashboard.
- 4
Set up load testing as part of CI so peak-load regressions are caught before they hit production.
What we shipped
The core features that moved the needle.
Sub-200ms Dispatch
Go-based dispatch service with a Redis driver index that meets peak-hour demand without blinking.
Live ETA Tracking
WebSocket-streamed driver location and dynamic ETAs that reflect actual traffic, not a forecast.
Driver App Rewrite
Offline-first order acceptance, clear earnings, and tip transparency built in from the start.
Peak-Load CI
Load tests run on every release candidate, simulating peak Friday traffic before the code ships.

The Outcome
Friday-night uptime moved from "hope" to 99.97%. Order throughput climbed 38% with the same fleet. The driver app rating jumped from 3.1 to 4.8 in three months.
Built and shipped in 12 weeks— handed off with full observability, documentation, and a runbook the client's team owns end-to-end.
